INTRO TO IMPROV WORKSHOP
SATURDAY JUNE 1st, 2024 – 12:30 pm to 4:00 pm

This workshop is hosted by iFilmGroup and is an introduction to the art of improvisation.

One of the most important skills for an actor is the ability to adapt to any situation and react accordingly. Whether you're auditioning for a role, performing on stage, or working on set, you never know what might happen or what might be asked of you. Improv teaches you how to be flexible, creative, and spontaneous

Within this workshop, the creative team will embrace the art of ‘play’ in a spontaneous fashion and allow all who attend to freely without judgement, act out.

"Improvisation: words/dialogue are not written down; actors use words and actions to interact with each other to make sense of who they are and what they are doing in a scene with little to no rehearsal time."

Participants need to come to the workshop ready to play and have a willingness to say “Yes-and!” To build the story and allow creativity to take over in the moment.

Participants can pay at the door at the workshop, or can pay through e-transfer when participant emails to reserve a spot.

Please note a participant’s spot is not guaranteed unless the spot is paid for in advance. Those paying at the door will be taken in the order they arrive. Once the workshop is full to maximum capacity no further participants will be accepted.

IN THE CASTING PROCESS - WORKSHOP
This workshop was for actors, with a focused look at the steps and stages of the acting casting call, and audition process. From the original submission process to the researching and preparing for the audition. To the final steps of the audition waiting period and the actor's audition itself. This workshop was a hands-on experience with tips and tricks to help actors navigate the process. The Workshop also teaches- once your future audition is over, learn to let go after the process is over.
Regardless of success or failure.

Small Group Workshops - Remote Workshops - Workshops on a real Movie Set

After brief training… off to a ‘movie set’ or ‘studio set’ you’ll go! Our training incorporates working on ‘production footage’ that will get you the knowledge required to advance. Remote training has a wider scope of direction for the student to generate the task at hand.
