iFilmGroup identifies itself as a Southwestern Ontario filmmaking, acting training and mentoring organization, with a strong connection to the London, Ontario film community.

Several developments have occurred, especially around their Training Module Program.
The program currently offers 30+ training segments for $20/month, with additional segments added each month. The program is positioned for actors at all levels, not just beginners.

Recent modules include:

The company is significantly expanding its earlier 2025 collection of acting modules.
iFilmGroup is moving strongly into actor safety.
This may be one of the most important new directions.

A recent Casting Call specifically sought actors for training footage dealing with audition and set safety, red flags, uncomfortable/vulnerable situations, boundaries, kissing during auditions/filming, and hostile work environments. That fits very well with the safety/red-flag material they’ve been developing recently.

They have in-person, hands-on scene training, including a recent London, Ontario, Scene Workshop involving actors working on:
scene analysis - character development - objectives - emotional truth - listening - relationships - blocking - camera/stage techniques - personalized direction
on-camera practice - performance feedback.

That makes the organization particularly interesting for someone who wants to understand what it is actually like to work in front of the camera, not just take acting classes.

So the organization increasingly presents itself as training and practical filming experience, rather than simply an acting class.

I describe iFilmGroup as providing acting training and mentoring for all levels, with London, Ontario, as the main location, satellite divisions serving St. Thomas and Chatham-Kent, and online training. The organization has worked with over 1,000 actors and crew.

I find that iFilmGroup emphasizes mentoring, hands-on film-set training, audition preparation, networking and helping people determine whether the film industry is right for them.

The production/mentoring team is substantial-
The current Production Team Leaders page now presents a fairly broad group of people involved in production, acting, coaching, mentoring, drama therapy, and production development, including David Parisian, Brie Bennett, Julia Brown, Angel Bilagot, and Sharon O'Leary, alongside Matthew Marshall and Don Hickey, and of course, me… (Anne Thompson).

Local news in London, Ontario, describes iFilmGroup as a multi-generational mentoring, training, and filmmaking organization in Southwestern Ontario, offering acting/filmmaking training, workshops, mentoring placements, casting calls, and virtual training segments.

What makes iFilmGroup different?
I'd characterize iFilmGroup less as a conventional “acting school” and more as a combination of:
Acting Training + filmmaking + practical experience + mentoring + career education.

My overall read:
The biggest change I see is that iFilmGroup.org is evolving from a general filmmaking/mentoring organization into a much more clearly defined actor-development and practical-industry-training platform.

The strongest three pillars appear to be:

ACTING TRAINING → PRACTICAL FILM EXPERIENCE → INDUSTRY/ACTOR SAFETY

And their recent ideas—career maintenance, self-tapes, casting-call red flags, audition safety, set etiquette, character development,
year-end preparation, and practical actor training—fit that direction extremely well.
